Planning for Orientation Week 2011 is just getting started, but we couldn’t have the week without the dozens of student volunteers affectionately known as Frosh Leaders. These are the social, friendly and helpful people already familiar with the university that welcome our new members, show them around and form an important first link to life at Saint Mary’s.

Working more closely with the Orientation Week’s Event and Volunteer Coordinator will be Frosh Week Facilitators. These people typically have previously volunteered as Frosh Leaders and are given some additional responsibilities in helping to organize events. to be a Facilitator, you will be asked to commit a minimal amount of time during the Summer break to assist in preparing for the week.

You don’t need previous experience! You don’t even have to be a crazy, entertaining extrovert (but it doesn’t hurt). We want to show our new students that this is a school full of diversity and comradeship. We all have our different reasons for being here, different backgrounds, and different goals, but we all have this university in common and we all have a lot to offer!
