Loan Request


Society Loan Request is meant to assist societies with event planning that do not require special event grants. Societies might need a loan to make a deposit or market an event but do not have the funds because revenue has not started to come in yet. This is for events that are expected to turn a profit and do not require any funding. The total amount available is $500 and must be returned to SMUSA 3 days after the event has taken place. The form must be completed in full in order to be considered. Please submit to the SMUSA Society Coordinator 2 weeks prior the event.

Society, have read and understood all of the terms and conditions as stated in the application and agree to abide by them. I further understand that if I am granted a Students’ Association loan that I must submit a one page post-event summary detailing the success of the event no later than two (2) weeks following the event. Lastly I agree to repay the loan in full within three (3) days of the completion of the event else suffer the penalties as listed in the policies.

Please be prepared to attend a Society Committee meeting for 3 to 5 minutes to
answer any questions the Students’ Association may have about your loan request.
