SOCIETY SECOND SEMESTER REPORT FORM

THE SECOND SEMESTER REPORT HELPS SMUSA DETERMINE THE ACTIVITY LEVEL OF RATIFIED SOCIETIES THROUGHOUT THE SECOND SEMESTER. IT IS MANDATORY FOR EVERY RATIFIED SOCIETY TO SUBMIT THE SECOND SEMESTER REPORT FORM IRRESPECTIVE OF WHETHER THE RATIFIED SOCIETY HAS BEEN ACTIVE OR NOT THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER. THE SECOND SEMESTER REPORT IS DUE BY APRIL 30TH AND SHOULD COVER THE PERIOD OF TIME FROM DECEMBER 30TH TO APRIL 30TH.

FAILURE TO SUBMIT YOUR FULLY COMPLETED SECOND SEMESTER REPORT COULD RESULT IN THE FOLLOWING PENALTIES:

1. YOUR SOCIETY SHALL FORFEIT ANY OPPORTUNITY OF RECEIVING A STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION GRANT OR LOAN FOR THE NEXT FISCAL YEAR.

2. YOUR SOCIETY WILL BE DENIED STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION OFFICE SPACE FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR.

3. YOUR SOCIETY RISKS BEING DE-RATIFIED; AND THEREFORE WILL NOT BE A RECOGNIZED STUDENT GROUP AT SAINT MARY’S UNIVERSITY AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE.

If “Yes” you are required to attach the most recent bank statement with the Annual Report; Your Societies Annual report is incomplete without the RBC Bank Statement attached to it.

All the societies are de-ratified on April 30th and are required to apply for summer ratification if interested in operating during summers. Applications for summer ratification open on May 01st and go until May 15th. Please go to www.smusa.ca and fill out the Society Request for Ratification Form. Returning Societies are not required to submit the Society Constitution unless they are making any changes to their current Society Constitution. All societies are required to submit a membership list.

SMUSA requires a list of society activities from the last semester of the academic year. Please include all activities from December 30th – April 30th
