We’re Saint Mary’s University Students’ Association, but you can call us SMUSA! We are a not-for-profit organization founded in 1966 to provide services, support, advocacy, and representation to all of its members: the students of Saint Mary’s University.

Upcoming Events
Location: Sobey Inspirational Hub 325
Caribbean Jeopardy Night is a fun and engaging trivia event where participants test their knowledge of Caribbean culture, history, music, and more. Teams will compete to answer questions and earn points, with the goal of becoming the night’s Caribbean Jeopardy champion. This event is designed to bring people together for a night of cultural celebration and friendly competition. Refreshments will be provided.
Location: Halifax Public Library. We will meet in front of the Patrick Power Library at SMU and then go together to the Public Library in Spring Garden.
So many books to read but so little time? Join the RWT for our first Book Club meeting. Our first meeting will be to get participants their Halifax Public Library cards, explore the library, and find a wellness book (i.e. Before the Coffee Gets Cold). Once we choose a book, we can begin reading and having debriefing sessions to discuss the book's theme and message.

Looking for a way to de-stress and get creative? This workshop will focus on the positive impacts of journaling, creative writing, and poetry. Dr. Luke Hathaway, SMU English professor and poet, will be a guest speaker, discussing how writing choices can be used as strategies for processing difficult life events. The event will be hosted by the counselling centre’s peer supporters and wellness ambassador.
