Basic Health Plan
As an international student*, you have two health plans.
This plan covers emergency medical expenses such as: visiting the doctor, hospital visits, surgery, diagnostic/lab tests (blood work, x-rays, etc.), & more.
All international students are billed & enrolled on this plan
each academic year.

Monday-Friday (9am-4pm)
Open Door Policy:
If the door is open, come inside.
If the door is closed, the HP Manager is in a meeting or away from the office.
Health Plan Booth
Info Desk, 1st Floor (Student Centre)
Health Plan Assistants manage this desk & help provide coverage when the HP Manager is in meetings/away.
Monday-Thursday (12pm-8pm)
Fridays (12pm-4pm)
What We Do
The SMUSA Health Plan office helps with:
making claims, opting-out of the plans, enrolling dependents, accessing your plan card, health plan charges on your student account, picking up cheques, and answering your questions about the plans!
